ORV/ATV SAFETY EDUCATION COURSE OFFERED
Juveniles age 12-15 must have completed an ATV/ORV safety education course to legally ride in the State of Michigan. The class date for Iron County has been set for TOMORROW, 8:00-12:30 at the Middle School. There is no cost and you need not provide an ORV/ATV or any equipment this year. Registation forms are in the office.

SPRING CONCERTS 2008
Middle School Orchestra Concert-May 20th, High School Orchestra Concert-May 16th, both will be 7:00p.m. in Windsor Auditoriuim. Middle School Band Concert will be-May 13th at 7:30p.m. in Windsor Auditorium.

LOCKER CLEAN OUT
Lockers in the locker room need to be cleaned out by May 20th so Mrs. Spel can finish the clean up before school is dismissed for the summer. If you are in a spring sport you will have to carry your things back and forth.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS
The ACT will be given again Saturday, June 14th at Kingsford High School. The registration deadline for this test is May 9th. Go to the website www.actstudent.org and sign up. The next test at West Iron will be in October. See Ms. Harrington if you have questions.
SPEED TRAINING CAMP
There will be a speed training camp held at Ironwood High School June 9-11 and June 12-14. Lucas Baumgartner a former West Iron County student is the director of the camp. Brochures are available on the counter in the office.
FORENSIC SUMMER CAMP
The Applied Technology in Conservation Genetics Laboratory at Central Michigan University is having their Forensic Science Summer Camp for high school students. The camps are July 13-18 and July 27-August 1st and are limited to 20 students each. For more information, see Ms. Harrington or go to http://atcg.bio.cmich.edu.
2008 SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
Applications for summer jobs through MI WORKS are available now in the office. They can be picked up here, but need to be turned in at the MI WORKS building on the main street of Caspian.
LIFEGUARD TRAINING CLASS
There will be an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Class offered starting on Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Crystal Lake Community Center. For more information contact the Crystal Lake Community Center at 774-4076. Info on board outside of office.
