ATV/ORV SAFETY CLASSES West Iron County Public Schools will again be offering Off-Road Vehicle Safety Education Programs for students in the Western Upper Peninsula Area. Juveniles age 12-15 must have completed an ATV/ORV safety education course to legally ride an ATV.ORV in the State of Michigan. The Department of Natural Resources will provide funding for this program. The class date for Iron county has been set. The class will be offered on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and will be held at the West Iron County Middle School. Students will not have to provide their own ORV/ATV or equipment this year. There is not cost for student for the program. MIDDLE SCHOOL PICNIC The Middle School picnic will be on May 22 at Bewabic State Park. Please be reminded that no glass bottles, no going near the water, and staying within the perimeter are the rules.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL The last day of school will be May 23. It is a half day for the students. Report cards will be mailed.

5TH GRADE CLASS TRIP The 5th Grade Class Trip will be on May 21st.
